Pastor Sherry Gregory

Who Am I?

I am Pastor Sherry Gregory.  I have been happily married to my husband and ministry partner in life, Bob for 16 years now.  I am fully ordained by Heritage of Faith Christian Center in Crowley, TX with Dr. Jerry Savelle Ministries and Embassy Of Christ, Inc. and enjoy teaching & preaching, doing outreach ministry and traveling to minister the Gospel of Jesus Christ as well.

My Journey:

I was born again recognizing the call of God to ministry at age 17, at a youth conference called Explo ’72, in Dallas, TX at the Cotton Bowl Stadium.  I grew up attending church, with my family at the Springfield United Methodist Church, in Springfield, VA.  After my salvation in 1972, and being baptized in water, I was baptized in the Holy Ghost with evidence of speaking in tongues at a United Methodist Church Camp called Camp Highroad in the Shenandoah Mountains of Virginia.  I now have had over 14 years as an ordained minister, having graduated from Jerry Savelle Ministries Int’l Bible Institute in 1997, and after having served on staff with JSMI, for almost three years.  It was indeed a distinct honor and privilege to work for Dr. Jerry Savelle and Mrs. Carolyn Savelle, their daughter, Terry Savelle Foy and Brother Jerry’s cousin and his wife, Brother Joe McCroskey and Joyce McCroskey.  I worked in the ministry headquarters in the Customer Service Department, in the Prayer Department, in the Publishing Department and in Housekeeping. Bob & I also served Pastors Allen & Beverly Shook in Youth Ministry and Prison & Jail Ministry for about one year while we were searching for just the right church fellowship, while working for Dr. Savelle on staff.  After hearing the Lord’s call to start our own church and ministry, we left JSMI, giving about 6 months notice.  Bob and I first gained the blessing of Dr. Savelle, and also from our church, at Eagle Mountain International Church with Pastor George Pearsons.  Now, Bob and I enjoy attending Heritage of Faith Christian Center events, serving on the President’s Cabinet which is Jerry Savelles’ Missions Board, and we love attending the KCM Minister’s Conference every year in Fort Worth as well.  These are our vital ministry connections and our friends, who mentored us in our new marriage 15 years ago, when the Lord told us to establish our marriage on the foundation of JSMI teaching and training.  Though I am always working toward growing and maturing in Christ, I can honestly say, I have learned ways to do things and ways not to do things in ministry because of the wisdom and knowledge that we have had over these years from the Holy Spirit, God’s Word and through our mentors at EMIC, KCM and JSMI-Heritage of Faith Christian Center.  I believe that I have been called and equipped through my diversified life experience to people of many different cultural, social and economic backgrounds.  I have attained a non-wavering and single minded focus in my witness of faith in Jesus Christ, and the Word of God.  I am an example of God’s grace every day.  I John 5:4-7, Ephesians 4:11-16, and Jeremiah 1: 10 & 3:15 are my theme scriptures for my life.  God has been good to me.

What I do?

I answer to and am in fellowship with my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ through the Holy Spirit of God.  As His called servant and child, I am called to serve as a Co-Senior Pastor and a Co-Founder of Embassy Of Christ and Advance Ministries with my husband Bob Gregory, my best friend and partner in life.  I am also called to be a mom to the most wonderful daughter anyone could ever have been blessed with, Bevin Gregory.  I am a worshipper, a prayer/intercessor, and most of all a lover of God and of people.  Those passions make my life heaven on earth.  I find that I am a mentor, sometimes a mother, and usually a counselor, encourager and friend to many who attend the E.O.C. fellowship meetings.  I put out lots of fires and try to keep balance in it all. It has not always been easy, but there has always been victory. One of my deepest ministry passions has always been in Prisons and Jails.  All of these years, outreach ministry to those who are hurting, has given me momentum for the development of my own authored 12-Step Christ-centered recovery program, which I developed in 2001.  In 2005, I also developed a 5-year plan for a 2 year transitional housing program for women, called Freedom Home.  I always preach and teach what the Lord shows and tells me, not some prefab sermon or lesson, and in so doing I endeavor to bring a fresh word of encouragement and revelation to the Body of Christ every week, or every time He says it is time to do so.  For as long as Bob and I have been in ministry together until about 14 months ago, I was in charge of the Children’s ministry, and after much prayer and seeking the Lord, my assignment changed, .  Now, Embassy Of Christ is going through a transition to the EMIC/KCM Superkid Academy Children’s Curriculum.  I handle most of the paperwork for the ministry. I also minister to those in need by administrating and overseeing the Food Pantry at E.O.C. which gives free food out to those in need once a month and emergency food to those who need it up to two times per month.
